La Scolca's Gavi "Black Label" is made from older vines and is all about freshness and crispness. Well-balanced aromas and flavors of citrus and almond and very bright acidity make it lip-smackingly refreshing. Served chilled on a hot summer afternoon, as an aperitif or with light fare, it is really quite hard to beat. As good as it gets for Gavi, this wine is known as the king of white wine from Piedmont.
